Australian Sam Ly, 28, failed to regain consciousness after he was caught in the explosion on the No 30 bus. He died from the injuries he sustained on July 14. He had recently moved to London from Melbourne with his girlfriend, Mandy Ha, to work in IT. His death was announced by the Australian foreign minister, Alexander Downer.

Hi Sam, I was your manager at the souvenir shop in Melbourne in the late '90's. You were making your way through uni back then. I recall seeing you in Bourke Street just before you made the big move to London. You were so full of dreams.
