In the three weeks since LaPorte businessman Jeffrey Ake was abducted in Iraq, there's been practically no word on his fate.
The people who abducted Jeffrey Ake on April 11 haven't been heard from since a video of them holding him at gunpoint aired two days later.
The US government has made only brief comments since Ake was kidnapped at a water treatment plant near Baghdad.
The only public reaction from Ake's family has come through LaPorte's police chief, who said the family was would not comment on the case at the FBI's advice.
FBI spokeswoman Wendy Osborne says the decision to keep silent was the family's choice. He says the agency has placed no restrictions on the family.
